How Insulation & Ventilation Work Together
Why should both insulation and ventilation be priorities for your home?
When it comes to wall insulation, there are two main methods. The first method is known as bulk insulation. Bulk insulation can come in pre-cut segments, or rolls that can be cut down to fit the wall space. Common bulk insulation materials include glasswool or polyester. The second method is know as injected or blown-in insulation. This involves creating small holes in the lining or cladding, and injecting the insulation into the wall. Common material for this method includes foam or fibres.
At Bay Energy Solutions, we specialise in bulk insulation rather than the injected or blown-in method. To install bulk insulation into existing walls, keep in mind you will need to remove the wall lining or GIB prior to installation. You can either do this yourself, or contact a qualified builder. If you have any questions as to whether your property is in need of wall insulation, or the costs involved, please get in touch with our team. We can arrange a visit from one of our experts at no cost to you. All of our experts will be able to answer all of your questions, and provide a free, no obligation quote.
